Post game quotes and notes

Junior Sam Johnston, who scored on a tip in late in the first half: "Oh my God. We practiced that drill, that corner, over and over again. It was the perfect diagnal cross. Sophie (Waters) just saw me at the post waiting and I was just able to tip it in. It was the perfect hit, I was so proud of her."

Defensman Alex Bair: "We just went in with the attitude it was the last game of the season. We were really focused. We all had faith in each other."

Mo Minicus’ bottom line in the Wave’s 3-1 semifinals win over Daniel Hand on Tuesday night, was an exclamation on the whole undefeated season to date.

It had everything to do with her girls. Their elemental ingredients. Their human contents from head to toe.

And Minicus didn’t need a microscope to label all of those field hockey-friendly molecules.
