The Ridgefield Youth Football 8th Grade and 5th Grade Black teams will both be playing in the Candlewood Valley League championship game this weekend for their respective classes.

Both teams qualifed for their Championships with playoff wins this past weekend, and both teams have season records of 9-0-0. Many other Ridgefield teams have had successful seasons, as have the Cheerleaders.

Both games will be played at Brien McMahon High School in Norwalk, this Saturday 11/7. The 5th Grade team will play Newtown at 11:00am, and the 8th Grade team will play Southern Dutchess at 1:00pm.

Congratulations to the two Ridgefield Youth Football teams upon winning their Candlewood Valley League (CVL) Championship games this weekend.

The 8th Grade team defeated Southern Dutchess 32-18 and finished their CVL season undefeated with a record of 10-0-0. The 5th Grade Black team defeated Newtown 14-0 and finished their CVL season undefeated with a record of 10-0-0.

Conratulations to the other teams that won their bowl games, and good luck to the Cheer teams in their upcoming competitions.
