Eagle Scout project gets final approval
Eagle Scout candidate Blake Berg received final approval Monday night for his par course exercise trail project at Fox Valley Park in Goldens Bridge. Blake got the approval after meeting with the required town boards and committees over the past few weeks.
Blake had previously failed to meet with the required groups in advance of installing the trail, saying he had misunderstood what was required for a project on town property. The Town Board told him he needed to comply retroactively with all town rules and regulations before they could sign off on his project.
Town Board approval of the project was unanimous.
“Congratulations,” said Town Board member Peter DeLucia. “You have worked hard and done a great job on a project that will benefit the town. You now also have an understanding that some things are not as simple as they first seem to be.”

Officials seek Legacy money

district jointly announced the possibility of using Westchester County
Legacy funds, which are earmarked for outdoor athletics projects like
the fields, to finance the construction of one rectangular field and
one softball field on the property, at a cost of roughly $2 million.
The proposal will be presented to the public on Tuesday, May 13, at
7:30 in the John Jay High School cafeteria. More ...
